History of the mine
First worked in the late 1960s and early 1970s as "Blue Gem," then left dormant for over fifty years. Small cat-pushes uncovered several turquoise-bearing zones that were never developed, yielding gem-grade nuggets, nodules, and a wide range of pseudomorphs.
