History of the mine
One of very few known variscite localities in its corner of Esmeralda County: a tightly packed network of veins in hard chert and shale. Several hundred pounds recovered in yellow-green, deep green, pale green, and tan, with some of the finest spiderwebbing found at any of our mines.
